The short version
Zendle doesn’t ask you to create an account or share any personal details.
Stored on your device
Zendle keeps your progress on today’s walk, the number of days you’ve walked, and a random anonymous ID in your browser’s local storage. You can remove all of it at any time by clearing your site data for this site.
Anonymous results
When you finish a daily walk, Zendle sends a small anonymous record so we can see how the puzzle is going for everyone. It contains the puzzle number, whether you found the word, how many guesses you used, how many seconds of the mindful minute you listened to, the random ID above, and a timestamp. It doesn’t include your name, email address, or the words you guessed. Because the ID is random, we can’t tell which record is yours, so we can’t look up or delete an individual record.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and how it’s used. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. This data is aggregated and we don’t use it to identify you personally. You can learn more in Google’s privacy information, and opt out with your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and results are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. As with any website, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t store your IP address with your results.
Sharing your result
Pressing Share passes your result to your device’s share sheet or copies it to your clipboard. Nothing is sent to us.
